Terms and Conditions
For all congresses, events, and seminars (hereinafter referred to as "Event") managed and conducted by SIMWRX GmbH, the following terms and conditions apply: (Subject to change | Version of May 14, 2024)
Registration
The registration is binding. Upon receipt of the registration, a legally valid contract is established. The participant will receive a registration confirmation in the form of an invoice. The registration confirmation is sent via email.
The participation fee is per ticket and congress and is due within 30 days of invoicing. Special conditions, discounts, or other concessions are not cumulative. For multi-day events, splitting of tickets is only possible if this option is available, and the purchased ticket can only be used by one participant. The congress, event, and seminar materials are copyrighted. Reproduction, distribution, or other use of the materials is only permitted with the express consent of the organizer.
The organizer is not liable for any program changes, typographical errors, or speaker cancellations.
Cancellation
The following cancellation conditions apply for deregistration:
Cancellation up to 30 days before the start of the congress: 50% refund of the participation fee
Cancellation from 30 days before the start of the congress: No refund
These conditions also apply in case of no-show by the participant, even in cases of force majeure, prevention due to illness, accident, or similar reasons. Cancellation must be made in writing by post (SIMWRX GmbH | Lindenstrasse 14, 8880 Walenstadt) or email (post@simwrx.ch). The date of the postmark/email receipt will determine the eligibility for a refund.
The nomination of a substitute participant is possible at any time without additional fees. Changes from online to live tickets may be possible; the difference in the participation fee will be charged.
Postponement / Cancellation / Interruption
In the event of a postponement, the ticket automatically applies to the rescheduled date. Refunds or exchanges of tickets are excluded. If the event is canceled, the participant can request a refund of the amount paid within 30 days. The amount will be refunded in full. Beyond this, the participant has no further rights. In particular, claims for reimbursement of travel and accommodation costs and loss of earnings are excluded.
If the respective event does not take place or is postponed or interrupted due to circumstances beyond the organizer's control, such as force majeure and equivalent events like national mourning, weather conditions, strikes or war, epidemics or health risks, the organizer is not liable for resulting losses or damages. In these cases, the participation fee will not be refunded.
Access / Liability
The stay at and around the event venue is at one's own risk. In the interest of safety and a smooth course of the event, the participant is especially obligated to follow the instructions of the police, the organizer, the security personnel, and the administration of the venue. Advertising activities (e.g., promotions) or other actions beyond mere event participation are only allowed with prior consent from the organizer. The organizer has the right to exclude any participant who violates the terms and conditions and/or the venue's rules.
The organizer is liable only for intent or gross negligence. For the breach of essential contractual obligations, liability also applies in cases of slight negligence, but is limited to foreseeable, contract-typical damages. Claims for damages resulting from injury to life, body, or health are not affected by the aforementioned limitations. The storage of clothing and luggage at the cloakroom is expressly at the participant's risk.
Data Protection / Image Rights
For SIMWRX GmbH and any co-organizers, compliance with applicable data protection laws is a matter of course. The information received from the participant will generally not be shared with third parties and will only be used for event purposes. However, the participant agrees that SIMWRX GmbH and co-organizers may use this data for their own advertising purposes or provide it to sponsors for single-use related to the sponsored event upon request. If a participant explicitly does not wish this, they must inform SIMWRX GmbH in writing immediately after registration. Participants accept that during the congress, the organizer or congress partners may use innovative digital congress features as examples for the congress experience.
The participant is aware that images and/or statements of them may be captured during the event, and by participating in the event, they agree that SIMWRX GmbH can use this material for its own documentation without restriction. This does not include images or videos that portray the participant in a discriminatory manner.
Final Provision
Swiss law applies to the contractual relationship and all disputes. The courts in Zurich are declared competent for any disputes.
